Gia Dalakas--Sound Designer--10/4/21

I am using Ableton Live software to develop the "soundtrack" for this game. With the help of resources on their website, I've been able to try out new methods of production that I was not previously familiar with. So far, I have completed both sci-fi music compositions for our game (one being lighthearted and the other being more intense).  As I had mentioned in my last post, these will ideally be placed in specific zones, which will play when the user enters.

I  have provided screenshots of my Ableton interface above--  this is a visual representation of my progress. As one can see, I had to place specific notes and beats for each sound/instrument I chose. The process of putting this together gave me a better idea on how to create a cohesive melody.

The next step is to create sound effects. My team and I have decided to simplify our initial idea, so I will be creating two distinct sounds. One will be implemented when something positive happens, and the other when something bad happens. This is more feasible considering the time constraint, and will allow for better execution.
