The first step in my sound design process was to decide how the composition will integrate with art and level design. I want to ensure that my music/ sound ideas will work well with those of my teammates, so checking in on their plans was an effective way to do so.

I will be creating two main compositions that correspond with the “divide” in screen visuals— one being the more robotic/ intense side, and the other being fun and lighthearted. On the “combat” side, music will be faster paced and use heavier synth sounds, while the pastel garden side will have a calmer ambiance. All music and sounds will encompass a sci-fi feel, but as previously mentioned, they will differ in pace/mood. 

I have decided to create sounds that integrate with the following player movements: Attacking, dashing, walking, taking damage, collecting, crafting. “Enemies” will have a heavy metallic sound, while the main robot character will relay a soft beeping noise.
